Enfamil A.R.

Enfamil A.R. is a pre-thickened milk-based formula for the dietary management of infants with regurgitation or spitting up. Enfamil A.R. can be used as a baby’s sole source of nutrition for the first 6 months of life and as part of a varied diet from 6 months onwards. 

Enfamil A.R. is a food for special medical purposes and should only be used under the supervision of a healthcare professional. 

Properties

Enfamil A.R. contains a rice starch thickener that is thin in the bottle, allowing the formula to flow through the teat, and thickens once inside your baby’s stomach.

  • Enfamil A.R. is suitable as the only source of nutrition from birth to 6 months
  • Enfamil A.R. is suitable from 6 months onwards as part of a varied diet
  • Each tin of Enfamil A.R. contains 400 g of formula

Unless your healthcare professional advises you otherwise, use the charts below as a guide for the correct amounts of boiled water and powder to use. The feeding information provided here and on the product tins is intended as a guide only. Your baby may require more or less than the amounts shown — your healthcare professional will advise you if different amounts are required.

†Only use the scoop in can. Do not press powder into scoop, level off with the back of a clean, dry knife. 1 level scoop (4.5 g) to each 30 ml of water.

Preparation

Enfamil A.R.

Enfamil A.R. has specific preparation instructions. Carefully follow the instructions for preparation and use. 

Wash hands thoroughly. Clean and boil bottles, teats, caps and utensils in water (1 minute at a rolling boil).

Boil fresh water. Cool to room temperature. Do not use softened water. Pour desired amount of water into clean bottle

Add required number of level scoops of powder (see feeding guide). Store dry scoop in the tin

Cap bottle, roll and shake well until powder dissolves completely. Check temperature on the inside of your wrist

Once prepared, formula can spoil quickly. Feed immediately after preparation or cover and store in a refrigerator at 2–4°C for no longer than a total of 24 hours

Do not freeze prepared formula and do not use if unrefrigerated for more than a total of 2 hours. Use formula that has been in contact with baby's mouth within 1 hour and do not refrigerate. Throw away any prepared formula left in bottle and clean utensils. Do not heat feeds in a microwave.

Skimmed milk, vegetable oils (palm olein, coconut, soya, high oleic sunflower), rice starch, lactose (from milk), glucose syrup, calcium carbonate, emulsifier (soya lecithin), single cell oils (ARA from Mortierella alpina and DHA from Crypthecodinium cohnii), sodium L-ascorbate, choline chloride, L-cystine, potassium chloride, taurine, ferrous sulphate, inositol, zinc sulphate, L-carnitine, DL-alpha tocopheryl acetate, cytidine 5’-monophosphate, ascorbyl palmitate, niacinamide, ascorbic acid, adenosine 5’-monophosphate, calcium pantothenate, uridine 5’-monophosphate, guanosine 5’-monophosphate, retinyl palmitate, cupric sulphate, riboflavin, thiamine hydrochloride, cholecalciferol, pyridoxine hydrochloride, folic acid, manganese sulphate, phytomenadione, sodium iodide, sodium selenite, D-biotin, cyanocobalamin.
